Mystery Tap case file

Evidence & Claims Policy

Mystery Tap Water Co. does not publish contaminant-reduction claims unless product documentation supports them. Certification claims must match the exact product, model, standard, contaminant scope, and current documentation.

A certification to one standard does not mean a product reduces every contaminant. Public water reports may help with city-water context, but they do not replace testing at the tap. Private well conditions vary by property and usually require testing.

PFAS, lead, bacteria, nitrates, arsenic, manganese, and other safety concerns require extra verification before product selection.
